BRAMPTON, ON – City Councillor Gurpreet Dhillon hosted a successful ‘Municipal 101’ session for Brampton residents, to better inform and educate them about how the City of Brampton operates, including the services and resources it provides residents.
“I feel it’s very important for our residents to remain engaged with their local government and understand what services and resources are available to them,” said Councillor Dhillon.
“When our residents are properly informed on how the City of Brampton and its Council operates, they have the power to hold the City accountable and ensure they receive the best and most efficient services.”
150 residents attended the session and were given detailed information on where to read Council and Committee agendas, what the specific roles and responsibilities of key departments are, and where to find additional City related resources.
Mayor Linda Jeffrey and City of Brampton staff were also in attendance to directly answer residents’ questions.
