Keeping these in mind, the budget that has been unveiled has something for everyone.

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on the occasion of Holi:
“This week, Canadians of Hindu faith will join their communities and loved ones in celebration of the fun-filled festival of colours.
“Holi marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. To usher in the new season, families will sing and dance, eat delicacies, light bonfires, and paint each other with brightly coloured powders and dyes.
“This happy holiday is an opportunity to renew friendships and celebrate peace, but it is also a time to reflect on traditional notions of good and evil, and the ultimate triumph of light over darkness. It is a festival that is celebrated by Hindus and non-Hindus alike across Canada, South Asia, and around the world.
“As friends and families come together for this joyous occasion, we must take a moment to recognize the tremendous contributions Canadians of Hindu faith have made to our country. Our diversity is our greatest strength.
“On behalf of our family, Sophie and I wish all those marking this occasion a fun, happy and colourful Holi.”
“I first met Rob Ford when I was 22 and running for City Council – two young people interested in municipal politics. We were connected through my Uncle Joe who was good friends with Rob’s dad, Doug Sr. Rob was encouraging, kind and supportive.
Rob Ford was passionate about people and public service. I always appreciated that he was unscripted and sincere. He responded to constituent phone calls like no other politician, and vigorously defended the taxpayer. Rob Ford redefined how municipal campaigns were run in the City of Toronto. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with the entire Ford family during this difficult period.”
