INDO-AMERICAN ARTS COUNCIL CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF GIVING! 

The Indo-American Arts Council (IAAC) announces the date for its 20th anniversary Gala Benefit Celebrations on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Notables from the art, film, fashion, academia, corporate, medical and entertainment industries will gather at Pier 81 to celebrate this special occasion. Salman Rushdie, Mira Nair, Madhur Jaffrey, Aasif Mandvi, Consul General of India Sandeep Chakravorty and Indian Ambassador to the United Nations Syed Akbaruddin will be among the IAAC’s longtime supporters, proud to show their invaluable support for the IAAC and its artists.

Now in its 20th year, IAAC was founded by four individuals:  Late Gopal Raju (Editor India Abroad), Talat Ansari (Sr. Partner Kelly, Drye & Warren), Jonathan Hollander (Artistic Director, Battery Dance Co), and Aroon Shivdasani (Executive & Artistic Director IAAC). This presenting organization pioneered a movement that gave birth to myriad Indian arts organizations that have sprouted up all over the United States, in every artistic discipline.
