Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty are teaming up for the first time. Another cop franchise from the Singham and Simmba director, the new film, titled Sooryavanshi, will feature the megastar Akshay Kumar as an ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) officer.

Glimpses of his character have already been seen in the end credits of the Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba and the blockbuster director also announced that the action drama will release later this year. Perfect way to get the fans excited!

Before starting filming for Sooryavanshi, the Gold actor has pending shoot for two films — Mission Mangal and Good News. Filming for the super cop action-drama Sooryavanshi is likely to commence this year.

Both Rohit Shettyand Akshay Kumar are known to finish their projects in record time. So, it won’t be surprising if their maiden collaboration is also ready in time for a release this year.

 Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Kesari in March. He also has the fourth installment of comedy franchise Housefull in the pipeline.

Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, which stars Ranveer Singh in the title role, has a special appearance by Ajay Devgn in his Bajirao Singham avatar. In addition, there was another guest appearance, just when it seemed like the end credits will start rolling, Akshay Kumar’s voice boomed. Bajrangi Bhaijaan to release in China

Eros International Media Ltd (Eros International), a leading global film company in the Indian film entertainment industry, has announced  in association with China’s E Stars Films Ltd and Salman Khan Ventures that it will be releasing the multiple record breaking blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan in China on 2nd March 2018 during the Chinese Lantern Festival.

Dubbed in Chinese, the first Salman Khan film to release in China, the film is expected to get a wide release across 8000 plus screens. The Indian drama directed by Kabir Khan stars leading Indian film actor Salman Khan as Bajrangi, an ardent devotee of Hindu deity Hanuman, and his arduous journey to reunite a six-year-old Pakistani girl – who somehow gets lost in India – with her parents, back to her hometown in Pakistan.

With China overtaking the US with the world’s largest screen count with over 41,000 screens against 40,759 screens in the US and the recent successes of Indian film releases in China, the studio and the makers are confident of Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s box office potential in one of the most promising international markets for Indian films.

“Vishwa Hindi Divas” (World Hindi Day) celebrated at the Indian Consulate, Toronto

The Consulate General of India, Toronto celebrated “Pravasi Bharatiya Divas” & “Vishwa Hindi Divas” (World Hindi Day)   on January 10, 2018, at the Consulate.  Both events were organized as part of efforts by the Consulate to strengthen the bonds with the Indian Diaspora and to further promote interest in the Hindi language especially among the children living in the Greater Toronto Area.

On this occasion, a lively programme was presented by the children who presented Hindi Bhajans.
About a dozen eminent Hindi lovers/writers residing in the GTA recited poems and songs.

In his address, Consul General, Dinesh Bhatia, acknowledged the support of the Indian community residing here in orgranising the Vishwa Hindi Diwas, also gave a brief details of the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas and the Pravasi Bharatiya Parliamentarian/Mayor Conference held in Delhi.  Information about the forthcoming  International Hindi Literary Conference 2018, being organized by  Vishva Hindi Sansthan Cultural Organization, in the month of April, 2018, in Toronto was also shared. All organizations promoting Hindi were requested to work together to make it a big success.
