Hyatt Place Atlanta/Centennial Park Celebrates Official Opening

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) announced today the opening of Hyatt Place Atlanta/Centennial Park, the second Hyatt Place hotel in downtown Atlanta. The new hotel features the Hyatt Place brand’s intuitive design, casual atmosphere, and practical amenities such as free Wi-Fi & 24-hour food offerings. The hotel is in a joint venture led by Songy Highroads.

Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Hyatt Place Atlanta/Centennial Park is just steps away from the Georgia Aquarium, Mercedes Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena, City View Ferris Wheel, and many other local attractions and dining options. In addition to offering 1,983 square feet of meeting space and a rooftop pool located on the third floor, the hotel’s spacious guestrooms provide scenic views of downtown Atlanta.

Hyatt’s Presence in India to Expand from 19 Cities to 27 Cities by 2020

14 new Hyatt hotels to open, adding approximately 2,100 new guestrooms during the next 24 months

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) today announced that 2019 will mark record growth for Hyatt in India. Expansion plans foresee the addition of over 2,100 guestrooms through the opening of more than 14 new properties over the next 24 months. Aside from growth in the larger capital cities, the emphasis will be on leisure and cultural destinations, with a focus on emerging cities within India.

As a result of an increasingly favorable business climate and heightened tourism spend, encouraged by relaxed visa rules and a growing upper middle class, there is a general demand for growth in the hospitality industry in India. This expansion includes hotels in eight new markets in the country, thereby establishing Hyatt’s brand presence across 27 cities in India over the next 24 months.

“Hyatt is one of the longest-running international hotel management brands in India, the first Hyatt hotels in India opened over 30 years ago,” said Dhruva Rathore, vice president development-India, Hyatt. “Our heritage and experience in this complex market, paired with the strong relationships we hold with local developers and owners has helped make India one of the top three growth markets for Hyatt globally.”

Jet Airways Operates All-Women Crew Flights On the Occasion Of ‘International Women’s Day’

On the occasion of International Women’s Day on 08th March, 2019, Jet Airways, India’s premier full-service international airline, is planning to operate four domestic flights with all-women Cockpit and Cabin Crew members.

 These planned domestic flights 9W 346, 9W 355 (Mumbai-Delhi); 9W 358 (Delhi–Mumbai) and 9W 481 (Mumbai–Bengaluru), will be further managed exclusively by all-women teams from a cross-section of the business, including Engineering, Ground Handling, Ground Services, Security and Cabin Appearance Supervisors. Women aircraft Engineers, Technicians and Flight Dispatchers will attend to the technical services; while the non-technical work on the ground will be handled by women Duty Managers, Counter Staff and Security Officers highlighting the professionalism and capabilities of the airline’s women employees.

 The airline will surprise select women guests on-board these flights by presenting them with gift hampers, where each goody bag will contain gifts from top-notch participating brands such as Colorbar Cosmetics, Jean-Claude Biguine, Paris Salon & Spa and Lemon Tree Hotels. Jet Airways’ International Women’s Day will be replete with Lucky Draws for its women guests on these select flights.

Movie Matters! Media Meet @ Mayura!

At a press conference on Monday, March 26th, Punjabi film stars Gippy  Grewal and Roshan Prince spoke about the making of a biopic film ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’ which releases April 6th.

Hosted by Y Media Group, the President and CEO, Mr. Yudhvir Jaiswal, welcomed everyone in attendance with warmth and graciousness.

The film is inspired by the life of the Subedar who fought the Chinese during the Indo-Chinese war of 1962.  The movie is a saga of his dedication and devotion towards serving the country. He led his troops till he got wounded and subsequently died in Chinese captivity. He displayed such exemplary and unprecedented courage that the Indian Government honored him with the country’s highest wartime gallantry award – Param Vir Chakra posthumously.

The makers have delved into the past to showcase happenings and episodes of his life, most realistically. The movie has been shot in extreme weather conditions of Suratgarh, where the mercury soared to a melting level, and it has been filmed in the bone-chilling climate of Drass, Kargil where the temperature drops below freezing point! A major part of the film has been shot at a height of 14000 feet; the terrain was so insurmountable that it took the cast and crew hours of driving followed by a strenuous vertical trek to reach actual shoot location. Seven Colors Motion Picture Pvt. Ltd has produced the venture.

Both the actors   expressed immense happiness and excitement about being a part of this film, which is a highly anticipated one. With 4 million views of the teaser on YouTube already, this film is set to break ground for Pollywood and its push into the mainstream film industry.

Asked about the filming process, Mr. Grewal, who was seen in the Farhan Akhtar starrer Lucknow Central (2017), said that it was very tough. Additionally, the iconic Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, the charming Párisi Udvar Hotel in Budapest and the newly renovated Hôtel du Louvre in Paris are all expected to open and become a part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt portfolio by early 2019, creating significant growth for the brand in Europe.
