Sofia Carson becomes Global Ambassador for the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation

The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation® announced today singer and actress Sofia Carson will become a global ambassador for the Foundation. Carson’s role will include advocating, promoting, and increasing awareness of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation’s mission and educational programs.  She will also participate in events to help raise funds and promote the Latin GRAMMY Foundation’s primary charitable focus: to provide scholarships to students interested in Latin music, grants to scholars and organizations worldwide for research and preservation of diverse Latin music genres, and music education programs, including musical instrument donations to schools in need.

Since its establishment five years ago, the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation has donated a remarkable $5 million USD in scholarships, grants, musical instrument donations, and educational events in the United States and Ibero-America.

“Aretha! A GRAMMY Celebration For The Queen Of Soul.”
Hosted by Tyler  Perry, the one-of-a-kind concert will feature exciting and moving performances of Aretha’s legendary hits; Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Celine Dion,  Patti LaBelle and artists  will pay tribute to Aretha Franklin in a 2019 concert to be televised by CBS on Jan 13th.

 The Recording Academy™, AEG Ehrlich Ventures, Clive Davis, and CBS will pay tribute to the legendary career of 18-time GRAMMY®winner and 2008 MusiCares® Person of the Year honoree Aretha Franklin by presenting “Aretha! A GRAMMY Celebration For The Queen Of Soul.” Performing songs from her legendary repertoire are GRAMMY winners Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Alessia Cara, Kelly Clarkson, Common, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Patti LaBelle, and BeBe Winans as well as current GRAMMY nominees Brandi Carlile, Chloe X Halle, H.E.R., Janelle Monáe, and SZA. Actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry will host the unforgettable night.

Marc Anthony, Bad Bunny and Will Smith to open the 19th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®
The Biggest Night in Latin Music® to air live on the Univision Network Nov. 15 from 8–11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central)

The Latin Recording Academy® today announced that six-time Latin GRAMMY ®  and two-time GRAMMY winner Marc Anthony, current Latin GRAMMY nominee Bad Bunny, and four-time GRAMMY® winner Will Smith will perform their new song “Está Rico” live for the first time at the 19th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®.

Actress Ana de la Reguera and singer Carlos Rivera will host The Biggest Night in Latin Music® live on the Univision Network Nov. 15  from 8–11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Previously announced performers include Ángela Aguilar, El David Aguilar, Pablo Alborán, J Balvin, Jorge Drexler, Karol G, Kany García, Halsey, Mon Laferte, Natalia Lafourcade, Maná, Victor Manuelle, Banda Los Recoditos, Carlos Vives, and Sebastián Yatra.

Five-Time Grammy Winner Bruno Mars Scholarship for Students

FIVE-TIME GRAMMY® WINNER CONTINUES HIS LONG-STANDING SUPPORT OF NEXT GENERATION OF MUSIC MAKERS WITH FUND TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR QUALIFIED NEEDS-BASED APPLICANTS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES—DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MARCH 31, 2018

The GRAMMY Museum®(www.grammymuseum.org) has announced  that five additional students will receive financial assistance for GRAMMY Camp® through the generous support of five-time GRAMMY® winner and 21-time GRAMMY nominee Bruno Mars. The scholarship will cover the tuition, housing, and transportation of one qualified high school student each year for the next five years. GRAMMY Camp, now celebrating its 14th year, is the GRAMMY Museum’s signature music industry camp for U.S. high school students. This scholarship was first established in 2014 through a grant from Mars to the Hawai’i Community Foundation in honor of his late mother for students from the Hawai’i area to attend GRAMMY Camp. It has now expanded to include applicants from across the country.
