10 New Properties Join Nat Geo Unique Lodges of the World

National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World has added 10 new handpicked lodges to its growing collection of world-class hotels in extraordinary destinations around the world. These new properties have each demonstrated their dedication to sustainable practices and to protecting natural and cultural heritage while simultaneously providing an intimate and exceptional guest experience.

From a safari camp in South Africa’s Madiwke Game Reserve to a 19th-century estate in Sicily and a remote island sanctuary in Vanuatu, the new additions epitomize National Geographic values of authenticity, enrichment, and a dedication to preserving our planet’s diversity.

Hyatt’s Presence in India to Expand from 19 Cities to 27 Cities by 2020

14 new Hyatt hotels to open, adding approximately 2,100 new guestrooms during the next 24 months

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) today announced that 2019 will mark record growth for Hyatt in India. Expansion plans foresee the addition of over 2,100 guestrooms through the opening of more than 14 new properties over the next 24 months. Aside from growth in the larger capital cities, the emphasis will be on leisure and cultural destinations, with a focus on emerging cities within India.

As a result of an increasingly favorable business climate and heightened tourism spend, encouraged by relaxed visa rules and a growing upper middle class, there is a general demand for growth in the hospitality industry in India. This expansion includes hotels in eight new markets in the country, thereby establishing Hyatt’s brand presence across 27 cities in India over the next 24 months.

JET AIRWAYS’ COMMENCES INDIA’S FIRST NON-STOP SERVICE BETWEEN MUMBAI AND MANCHESTER

Manchester, further expanding the airline’s connectivity in the United Kingdom (UK). This new service is the first non-stop service connecting India, via its economic capital with Manchester, the 3rd largest city in the UK.

With the launch of its 5th non-stop service to/from the UK, Jet Airways is now the largest carrier between Mumbai and the UK and Manchester, the 21st international destination on the carrier’s network. 

Ahead of the launch of its inaugural service from Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Jet Airways conducted a multi-faith prayer followed by ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony to mark the occasion of its inaugural flight. Marriott International Finds Cities Top The List For Vacation Plans

Marriott International’s newly released Second Annual U.S. Summer Travel Trends Report says that travelers are favoring cities over beaches in Summer 2018 and planning to take an average of two trips. And among families with children, it’s becoming more common for the kids to pick the destination, the report shows.

“Pack your walking shoes because for the second year in a row, city destinations are at the top of travelers’ lists,” said Brian King, Global Officer, Digital, Distribution & Global Sales, Marriott International.  “Travelers are heading to the cities to soak up the summer sun in urban destinations like New York City and Chicago which come alive in the summer with amazing food, festivals, and live outdoor concerts.”
