The St. Lawrence Market patio will be transformed into a downtown oasis of food, drink, music, performance and celebration on two evenings this summer, with patio events from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 and Thursday, August 24.
The return of the St. Lawrence Market Summer Series, presented in partnership with award-winning Toronto-based catering and events company The Food Dudes, will bring together the market’s merchants and great chefs, musicians and artists for two perfect summer nights out. The first of the two events will be held this Thursday – and tickets are going fast.
Summer Series tickets can be purchased at http://www.stlawrencemarket.com or directly through EventBrite at http://bit.ly/2u14ACB. General admission tickets are $30 (plus taxes and fees) and include two food tickets for use at the event. Drink tickets and additional food tickets will be available for purchase at the two events.
This innovative production merges cuisine and art in an iconic setting to create an unforgettable evening. It was this inventive spirit and vibrant atmosphere that led to the 2016 edition being nominated for a Canadian Special Event Industry Award for best public entertainment event or festival. The event team and participating market merchants are again showcasing fresh ways to experience St. Lawrence Market in the summer.
Lindsay Klein of The Food Dudes has expressed her enthusiasm for the 2017 edition of the Summer Series, commenting that the two special events will give people the opportunity to experience the market’s large patios and fresh, in-season food for two “deliciously memorable” summer evenings.
Menu items for this week’s event include traditional Spanish paella, ceviche tostadas, smoked chicken quesadillas and fresh grapefruit frozen yogurt.
Organizers express their appreciation to Chair-man Mills and Sole Power Productions as Summer Series event sponsors.
