Up N Close with the 4 legged stars of Odysseo

* Special appearance by Odysseo fan Michael “Pinball” Clemons*

It was a perfect day to meet n greet the superstars of the upcoming ‘Odysseo’, the epic adventure show which kicks off at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga on June 21st.

The beauties circled in perfect precision, with their well-groomed silky manes bouncing to the gallop at the media event this afternoon. These horses of different breeds from different parts of the world were presented in relatively free circumstances. It was a wonderful feeling to have come upon them in their natural setting, in a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone looks happy- the horses, the trainers, the acrobats- all ready and excited to perform.

Odysseo features 65 horses of 12 different breeds from around the world including the Appaloosa, Arabian, Canadian Horse, Holsteiner, Lusitano, Paint Horse and several others. They hail from different nationalities –Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, the United States and Canada. The average age of the horses is 9.

At the heart and soul of every Odysseo performance is the age-old bond between human and horse. The company fosters an environment where patience, trust and deep-seated respect for the four-legged stars come first. One of the trainers says “they need to feel happy and enthusiastic”; she believes that she has a bunch of excited kids and there’s a perfect understanding, bonding and a relationship of love. It was amazing to see the way they communicate with each other. Adorable is an understatement.

All the trainers pay close attention to the horses in order to ensure that every request is adapted and respectful of what the horses are ready to offer. These lovely stars have already captured our hearts and we just can’t wait to see what they have to show (off).

A very important announcement was also made today, which adds a feather in the already decorated cap of the Cavalia family. They generously extended their support to the PINBALL CLEMENS Foundation, which is responsible for building more than 200 schools on behalf of ‘Free the children’ throughout Africa. A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales from the Mississauga run would be donated to this charitable organization to support their important initiatives.

This unique theatrical production will not only spark magic into their hearts and souls, but will be an instrumental tool for change, learning and development. So come out, feast your eyes and feed your soul.

Tickets for Odysseo by Cavalia in Mississauga are now on sale at www.cavalia.net or by calling 1-866-999-8111.

“Odysseo stands out for its impeccable gloss. Most delightful of all is any demonstration of the ancient human-horse bond. It’s the heart of Odysseo; its high-tech, grandoise bells and whistles seem to be the creators’ expression of reverence for the magnificent stars in their care.” –Los Angeles Times
