About Mother Mother Vancouver quintet Mother Mother delivers melting vocal harmonies, angular guitar lines and infectious rhythms. Members of this three-time JUNO-nominated indie rock band are undoubtedly birds of a new sonic evolution. 2017 will see the release of Mother Mother’s sixth album No Culture, following the highly successful and critically acclaimed Very Good Bad Thing, with such hits as “Get Out The Way” and “Monkey Tree.”

About Alx Veliz: Hailing from Brampton, singer-songwriter-producer Alx Veliz will open the show. After his global hit “Dancing Kizomba” went viral overnight and was certified Gold and Platinum, Alx spent the last year touring the world. On New Year’s Eve he will bring his electrifying, synth-driven, Latin-rhythm-infused pop music back to his community for a special performance.

Alx Veliz is an artist whose emergence comes at a great time in music – a time when dancing rules, cultures embrace, and optimism rides high. More than that, “Dancing Kizomba” is a declaration and a call to the dance floor. Information on Alx Veliz can be found here.
